AVGusto is an AI-powered food scanning and nutrition tracking application for iOS and Android. The application software, its user interface, its original text and graphics, and its underlying business logic are original works owned by AVGusto, except for the third-party components and data sources acknowledged below.

AVGusto enriches and cross-checks nutrition information using publicly available food databases. We gratefully acknowledge the following sources. Nutritional values shown in the app are estimates and may be adjusted, combined, or supplemented by our own processing and by AI analysis.

USDA FoodData Central

Portions of nutritional reference data are derived from FoodData Central, provided by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service. FoodData Central data is generally in the public domain in the United States and is used without endorsement by or affiliation with the USDA.

Open Food Facts

Barcode product information is retrieved from Open Food Facts, a collaborative, free, and open database of food products from around the world. Open Food Facts data is made available under the Open Database License (ODbL), and its individual database contents are available under the Database Contents License (DbCL). AVGusto is not affiliated with or endorsed by Open Food Facts.

AVGusto integrates the following third-party services. All trademarks, service marks, and product names referenced belong to their respective owners, and their use here is for identification and attribution only — it does not imply endorsement.

• OpenAI — image analysis and food recognition via the OpenAI Vision API.
• Firebase (Google LLC) — authentication, Firestore database, and cloud storage.
• RevenueCat — in-app purchase and subscription management.
• Google AdMob — opt-in rewarded video advertising for free-tier users.
• Apple Health (Apple Inc.) and Health Connect (Google LLC) — optional, on-device integration for activity and weight data.

AVGusto and this website are built with open-source software and would not be possible without the wider developer community. The mobile app is built with React Native and the Expo framework; the website is built with Next.js and React. These and the many additional open-source libraries we depend on remain the property of their respective authors and are used under their own licenses (such as the MIT, Apache 2.0, and BSD licenses).

Fonts used on the avgusto.app website are self-hosted and used under their applicable licenses. Photographs, illustrations, and icons are either original works owned by AVGusto or used under license.

Apple, App Store, and Apple Health are trademarks of Apple Inc. Google, Google Play, Android, Firebase, AdMob, and Health Connect are trademarks of Google LLC. All other trademarks, logos, and brand names are the property of their respective owners. Their appearance in AVGusto does not indicate any affiliation with, sponsorship by, or endorsement from those trademark holders.
